Miami native Damaged Goods is nothing if not well rounded. Listening to a DG set is like embarking on a wild and twisting journey through music and sound; notorious for his ability to set off even the toughest room, Obi has been known to make even the most seemingly unrelated tracks work on the dance floor (he once closed a show at Miami Beach’s SET nightclub with Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”).
Now, Damaged Goods proves once again that his versatility extends beyond the dance floor and into the studio. His remix of Lucas & Steve’s “Blinded” featuring Bethany sees him explore a deeper and darker sound reminiscent of his 2014 hit remix of Kiesza’s “Hideaway.” His take on “Blinded” isolates the original’s base melody and vocal bridge to create a sultry intro, then gradually surrounds the sound with his signature high octane builds and hard hitting triplet bass sequences.
The result is a haunting, fierce peak hours driver designed to fill a big room and electrify an audience.
