Following the release of her critically-acclaimed third studio album I Never Learn, Swedish singer-songwriter Lykke Li is pleased to confirm the release of her new single ‘Gunshot’.
Lykke commented on the track, “I wrote Gunshot straight after a meditation and the lyrics just came out of violent words, ‘I’m longing for your poison like a cancer for its prey, I shot an arrow in your heart where you waited in the rain.’ So this is also the moment in a relationship where you’ve fucked up and some things you can never take back. I think that a lot of people can relate to that moment where it’s just gone forever.”
After the US tour announcement of last week, including a show at Radio City in NYC, Lykke has announced the I Never Learn UK tour which includes a headline London show at Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo on 13 November. UK fans will still be able to catch her prior to this at Latitude Festival and Glastonbury.
