M83, Underworld and Baxter Dury  join the Cala Mijas line-up

Cala Mijas festival completes the line-up with three more top-of-the-list artists, M83, Underworld and Baxter Dury will join the previously announced The Strokes, Florence + the Machine, Arcade Fire, Moderat, Foals, Belle & Sebastian, Metronomy, Idles and many more.

The Costa del Sol serves as the backdrop for the second edition of the Cala Mijas international festival welcoming more than 60 artists across three days. The unique town of Mijas will once again host the Cala Mijas festival for its second consecutive year between 31 August and 2 September welcoming festival-goers from all around the world.

Friday 1 September will see two brilliant new additions. The enigmatic French multi-instrumentalists M83 will make the masses dream and dance with their characteristic synth-pop and hits Midnight City or Outro. Joining them on the same day, the legendary British electronic duo Underworld, authors of timeless hits like Born Slippy, the main theme of Danny Boyle’s film, Trainspotting, and those responsible for the soundtrack of the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games, who will visit the Sonora Mijas venue to celebrate the importance of keeping the flame of dance music alive.

Thursday 31 August will also welcome British artist Baxter Dury, a regular collaborator with Jarvis Cocker or The White Stripes, who will visit Cala Mijas with his characteristic style presenting his new album I Thought I Was Better Than You.

The festival organisers will soon announce the daytime programme of the festival that will take the party to the town of Mijas. Full festival passes and day tickets are still on sale via www.calamijas.com/en/, including payment options in instalments and camping.

Due to unforeseen circumstances outside of the control of the festival, the performances by Lil Yachty and slowthai have been cancelled.
