Made Festival Launch ‘Made To Mix’

As part of MADE Festival’s 5 year celebrations, the most impressive festival in the West Midlands is looking for the most impressive DJ in the West Midlands, to perform on the same stage as the likes of Chris Lorenzo, Kurupt FM, DJ EZ and Dizzee Rascal. The 'MADE To Mix’ competition launches today at 5pm and is the first edition of an annual DJ competition that aims to discover the best new DJ talent in the West Midlands. Covering all genres, the victorious DJ will win a chance to showcase their skills as they perform the opening set of the MADE Stage, 1 x Backstage Artist Pass, 1 x Guest Pass and a selection of MADE goodies. Two runners up will also get the chance to perform an opening set at one of the guest arenas. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform at one of the UK’s biggest and best-loved electronic music festivals. The deadline for entries is Thursday 31st May at 6pm, when the top 10 mixes will then be selected to go through to the next stage of the voting process. Full details on how to enter a 30 minute mix can be found below and at www.made-festival.co.uk/djcomp.

The MADE Stage forms the outdoor centrepiece of the festival, as it settles into its new home at Perry Park, one of Birmingham’s best green spaces and the perfect location for an even bigger, more diverse celebration of music and modern street culture. The opportunity to DJ on this stage could be the start of a serious career behind the decks. MADE Festival has showcased the best of West Midlands’ DJ talent over the last 4 years, including Chris Lorenzo, Hannah Wants, Goldie, Holy Goof, Jaykae, Dapz On The Map, Tom Shorterz, Mike Skinner, Low Steppa, Cause & Affect, Lady Leshurr, DJ Hazard, Steve Lawler and more. Now, with the launch of the annual ‘MADE To Mix’ competition MADE Festival aims to uncover the next big name to come from its home turf.
