Madhouse Records: 25 Years Of

Kerri Chandler's Madhouse Records turns 25 with 25 different project across the next 12 months.

After years of dreaming and months of meticulous planning, a young Kerri Chandler is checking the final masters of his latest track ‘Matrix – Get Out’ and putting together the final elements to launch his first ever label project, Madhouse Records, Inc.

Fast forward twenty five years, Kerri and the label are listening to that very same track in their office, but this time are planning celebrations for their landmark anniversary and drawing inspiration on how to remain as influential today as they were all those years ago. Madhouse Records is known for being an integral part of New Jersey’s underground house scene, being home to a large number of Kerri’s records alongside other celebrated artists, such as Dennis Ferrer, Roy Ayers and Jerome Sydenham who have all helped to cement Madhouse in house music history. Not forgetting the newer artists including Voyeur, Roog, Dennis Quin and T.Williams who are continuing to push boundaries yet staying true to the ‘Madhouse’ sound we have come to know and love.

May 2017 marks twenty five years of Madhouse Records, a quarter of a century pioneering the true sound of house music. We are proud to now finally reveal our ‘Madhouse: 25 Years Of’ campaign. In celebration of this milestone we have put together 25      projects which will run over the next twelve months, including an exclusive and intimate event with Kerri Chandler playing under his ‘Matrix’ alias, remastered Madhouse vinyl re-issues starting with our very first release, a number of one off events and label showcases, all leading up to a special album which will include previously unreleased music and Kerri Chandler remixes from some of the underground’s most respected artists. With such high demand for our early catalogue we’ve chosen some of the rarest and most sought after releases and had them re-mastered by Kerri for reissue.

As well as a special one off event with Matrix, we have a number of parties and events locked down with other artists from our roster, including; Josh Butler, T.Williams, Roog & Dennis Quin and more, plus additional label showcases both in the UK and overseas with our label friends and partners. Approaching music with a forward thinking, backwards glancing mind-set, we have a number of new vinyl-only releases to come, kick starting with our various artists compilation, Madhouse:Summer (out early July), following with  music which can be expected from DJ Steaw, Soulphiction, James Curd, T.Williams & James Jacob, and many more.
