Following the widespread global success of their Beatport chart-topping collaboration ‘Sleepless’ alongside Sean Doron back in November, long-time studio partners and Scenarios label mates Maga and Emanuel Satie now look further afield, as they land on Frau Blau with their nostalgic new acid house offering ‘Love Accelerator’. Out now via the long-standing Tel Aviv-based imprint, Love Accelerator marks Maga and Satie’s first release of 2024 and is the first track on Frau Blau’s ‘Friends V’ VA compilation.
A delectable slice of raw, intricately textured house music, Maga and Emanuel’s expert treatment of digital instrumentation, analogue synthesisers and punchy four-to-the-flour drums delivers in spades. Tempering acid house-inspired vocal samples with old-school euphoria, cascading pads and driving basslines throughout, this latest partnership from the two Lisbon-based producers is yet another remarkable addition to their expansive catalogues.
A staple in both artists’ live performances over the past few months, Emanuel and Maga’s ability to captivate listeners with their forward-thinking, ever-evolving sound experiment is second-to-none. Pairing adventurous, electronic sound design with imaginative production techniques and familiar tones, their output is continuously developing as they add new textures and layers to their collaborative hallmark; pushing their own creative boundaries each step of the way.
Speaking about the collaboration, Maga commented:
“’Love Accelerator’ is a track I cooked up with Emanuel Satie, for our friends’ VA over at Frau Blau. It’s a vibrant mix of digital beats and analog magic and we’re really pushing our sound boundaries with this one; showcasing our growth and keeping things fresh”.
Emanuel Satie & Maga – Love Accelerator is out now on Frau Blau as part of the label’s ‘Friends V’ VA compilation.
