Maga & Tim Engelhardt Team Up on New Scenarios Single ‘Around’

Relishing in the triumph of their latest co-production ‘Lev’ back in September, old friends, frequent studio partners and Scenarios label mates Maga and Tim Engelhardt now return to the Lisbon-based imprint for their latest collaboration ‘Around’. Out now, the eagerly anticipated new single marks the first official release on Scenarios this year, following a string of well-received releases over the course of 2023.

Delving deep into their expansive sonic repertoires for this latest dancefloor cut, ‘Around’ sees Maga and Engelhardt deliver an irresistible concoction of mind-warping synthesizers, soulful vocals and powerful bass hooks to elicit an intoxicating narrative from the outset. Taking listeners on an absorbing journey across its undulating, seven-minute duration, the record drills deep into the subconscious with its compelling spirit, as the two producers join forces on another euphoric, peak-time anthem.

For Maga – who launched Scenarios together with Sean Doron, Emanuel Satie and Tim Engelhardt in April 2022 – ‘Around’ arrives off the back of his first single of 2024, ‘Love Accelerator’ (with Emanuel Satie), which was released on Tel Aviv-based imprint Frau Blau at the end of January. This latest single, which has already been road tested to immense reception during a landmark tour of Brasil and at EDC Mexico this past weekend, is just the latest in a whole host of new music scheduled this year for Maga, as the Frenchman looks set to make 2024 his most prolific year to date.

With a storied discography that spans almost a decade, Tim Engelhardt has become a stalwart of the scene, captivating audiences worldwide with this own unique brand of melodic house and techno. As the founder and label boss of recently launched LIFEFORMS imprint – as well as his ongoing involvement with the Scenarios collective – the German native has cultivated his own distinctive sound, with his commitment to quality and authenticity earning him acclaim from tastemakers, critics and industry peers alike.

Established in 2022 as an all-encompassing artist collective, label and events brand, Scenarios has taken the electronic music world by storm over the past two years with their intelligent, exquisitely crafted productions and instantly recognisable sound palette. Known the world over for their unique underground energy and standout international showcase events the collective has forged a deep and melodic sound all of their own, which is as organic and ethereal as it is experimental.
