There are few artists that ooze the Anjunabeats DNA quite like ilan Bluestone; a passionate performer who’s onstage presence is as emotive as his song writing.
Continuing to wear his heart on his sleeve throughout the year, 2018 saw the release of his debut album ‘Scars’ (an instant Anjuna classic) and accompanying worldwide album tour: culminating in his rousing closing performance at Above & Beyond’s landmark ABGT300 celebrations in Hong Kong.
Making an equally bold opening statement in 2019, ilan Bluestone returns to Anjunabeats with the ‘We Are The Universe EP’, including 6 new original productions.
A mix of endearing vocal tracks and innovative trance instrumentals, the release reflects ilan’s love of energetic dance music.
The first single from the release sees a fan favourite from both ilan and mentors Above & Beyond’s recent performances, ‘Mama Africa’.
Bearing the prestigious ‘tronce’ seal, ‘Mama Africa’ delivers an ilan Bluestone-sized hit of driving rhythmic bass notes, cascading synth layers and the return of now frequent collaborator EL Waves (Elizabeth Osei) in another stunning vocal performance.
Elizabeth explains how the track draws heavily from her cultural roots, “This is a song of love and blessing for my Mother, Father and Loved ones. In Akan culture we recognise the sacrifices that each individual makes to raising children of the next generation, passing down the wisdom's from the old into the new, so sending out blessings is something we do to show love and appreciation and to say thank you.”
ilan Bluestone and EL Waves’ ‘Mama Africa’ is out now, with the full EP release arriving this Spring.
The accompanying ‘We Are The Universe’ world tour sees ilan travel to Australia, North America and Europe, including multiple days across Anjunabeats 2019 North American tour.
