April sees Repopulate Mars drop a release from ElRow producers CAAL & Baum entitled ‘Mama Drama’, featuring vocalist Solo Tamas and remixes by Eli Brown and Lauren Lane.
Having collaborated on numerous occasions like ‘Trippin’ on Talk of The Town and last year’s ‘Downtown Beat’ on Elrow Music, the two Spanish producers join forces again for a release on Repopulate Mars. ElRow’s A&R, Baum also helms his own label Baumhaus, an imprint Amnesia Ibiza resident CAAL has frequented when not releasing on the likes of Sanity or Stereo Productions.
Crunchy snares and skipping hats make up ‘Mama Drama’ as Solo Tamas’ weaving vocals join a rumbling bassline, resulting in a moody cut designed to shake dancefloors. Repopulate Mars favourite Eli Brown’s remix follows with its bouncy kicks, dystopian stabs and a compelling groove before Saved and 20/20Vision producer Lauren Lane blends numerous mesmerising effects together with the original’s chopped up voice for an intricate slice of stripped back house. Tying it all together, ‘Dtension’ sees more upbeat spoken words from Tamas as thudding kicks join twisted bleeps.
CAAL & Baum’s ‘Mama Drama Feat Solo Tamas’ drops via Repopulate Mars on 27th April 2018.
