Marc Rousso launches his new Charité Records imprint with an uber-catchy, sexy slice of nu-disco goodness, ‘Coffee in the Morning.’
Paying forward his success and ongoing industry support, Rousso will pass on 100% of the proceeds from the track to Friends of the Children-Seattle, Friends of the Children–Seattle, one of 25 Friends of the Children chapters that are part of a network spanning the US and UK, provides salaried, professional mentors to youth from kindergarten through high school graduation, a cause close to Marc’s heart.
‘Friends of the Children-Seattle professional mentors empower and support youth to create and attain goals. They help youth gain access and opportunities despite the systemic barriers they face in school and in life. Youth are enrolled into the program in pre-school and kindergarten and have a professional mentor through high school graduation. The 12+ year commitment Friends of the Children-Seattle makes to each child has proven to be highly impactful as they navigate challenges and barriers to reach success. In my opinion, mentors are a key driver to success in life. If it were not for the mentors that have guided me, I would not have become the man, husband, father and entrepreneur I am today.’
‘Coffee in the Morning’ is an unashamed song with sensual vocals. The refrain ‘coffee in the morning, champagne at night’ together with the funky bass and Nile Rodgers-like guitar sounds evoke the heyday of 70s disco and its smoothly decadent nightlife. One to sing to while dressing up to go out or dancing in the club, this addictive release continues an exciting run of success for Seattle native Rousso.
Now that live gigs are back, he will be opening for Claptone at both Belly Up, Aspen and Masquerade at Miami Music Week. With a scorching run of releases lined up, including remixes with some seminal names like Roger Sanchez, and hot up and comers like Ferreck Dawn, it’s all happening for Marc Rousso.
