In similar fashion to his recent down-tempo, funk-laden rework of Djavan’s Brazilian anthem ‘Nereci’, DJ Marky has looked to his heritage to re-contextualize a classic. A favourite of his as a child, Marky’s ‘Aerodynamic Refix’ of Marco Valle’s ‘Freio Aerodinâmico’ sees traditional DnB sensibilities make way for classic samba rhythms, delicate, rolling percussion and bags of groove. A real slice of Brazillian sonic heritage reworked in typically effervescent style, this is Marky at his eccentric and most versatile best.
