Marika Hackman, Tirzah + More Announced For Field Day 2019

Dr. Martens bring their DM’s Boot Room stage and immersive experience toField Day for a two day showcase of some of the most exciting new talent in music.  Field Day 2019 takes place in a new ground-breaking and boundary pushing venue at The Drumsheds and the Boot Room line-up echos that ethos.

Friday sees Tirzah bring the unique flavour of her new wave, post R’n’B album, ‘Devotion’. RIMON, who has taken 2018 by storm with her BBYGIRL FOCU$ EP and Colours performance of ‘Dust’, also joins the Friday line up, while rising Grime star Yizzy brings the energy hot off the release of his new single ‘Deh Suh’.

After collaborating throughout 2018, culminating with ‘Melty’, both Keyah/Bluand Denzel Himself perform on Friday while energetic, uncompromising, London punks Crows round the day off in their own inimitable style.

Saturday’s line-up sees British Alt-Folk singer-songwriter Marika Hackmanperforming tracks from her 2017 LP, ‘I’m Not Your Man’ alongside newly released single ‘i’m not where you are’.  Marika’s bracing, darkly funny blend of folk and britpop has marked her out as a bold, young British force and her set is sure to be one of the highlights of the festival.

She joins hip-hop duo Frankie Stew and Harvey Gunn along with the genre blending, Gilles Peterson co-sign Emma-Jean Thackray and rising alternative pop starlet Rachel Chinouriri.

South London MC Flohio, also takes to the stage on Saturday. One of UK raps most vital voices, Flohio has collaborated with electronic legends Modeselektor and been honoured by Vogue as one of the ‘10 women changing our future’.

Reprezent Radio join the program across both days with Reprezent DJ’s and presenters discussing DIY ethics and the power of independence with special guest hosts over a series of panel talks.   There will also be screen printing workshops with Print Club London where festival goers can create their own tote bags and learn more about the craft and a free photo booth courtesy ofLookXLook.

Dr. Martens will be bringing the Boot Room On Tour experience to Field Daythroughout the festival day. Festival goers are encouraged to stop off at the pop-up container where Dr. Martens will be hosting immersive experiences as well as displaying iconic, archival pieces showcasing the brands heritage in musical subcultures such as Ska and Punk.

These new additions and special performances join an incredible bill set to play Field Day 2019, marking itself out as a unique London festival experience for the best in cutting-edge sounds and artists. Alongside headline performances from Skepta and Jorja Smith, the likes of Jungle, Earl Sweatshirt, The Black Madonna, Death Grips, Octavian, Diplo, Pusha T, Todd Terje, Bonobo (DJ), Modeselektor, Mahalia, Deerhunter, Erol Alkan, JPEGMAFIA, Julia Holterand more are all set for huge moments across the weekend and late into the night.
