American/French producer MarMar has had quite a busy year so far and he’s not showing any sign of slowing down any time soon.
He has a new single for us this week called ‘Cautious’ which has him exploring the outer reaches of Future House music, as he draws in elements of UK Garage with Dance Pop influences, creating this lush electronic backdrop of pulsing beats, layered vocal samples and atmospheric synths.
As he reveals below, this song is an ode to the impending close of the European summer, but it also touches on the err of caution when meeting someone new and keeping your emotions in-check.
“Cautious is my goodbye to summer song. For me it carries a nostalgia of sunshine and good times, but also has a bit of a melancholy feel to it. The vocal sample is telling a tale of Caution while getting to know someone and keeping your guard up while being with them.” ~ MarMar
