Following up on his smash hit “Easy,” which was produced alongside the renowned Porter Robinson, Mat Zo turns to his next single “Pyramid Scheme” featuring Chuck D. The track is now available worldwide on Astralwerks/Anjunabeats.
Beginning with a distinctive vocal originally drawn from a Public Enemy track, eventually Chuck D, the hip hop legend himself, was enlisted to personally rerecord the “rock the funky beat” sample that sits at the heart of the track. With tastes of electro, hip hop and big room progressive, this unique banger takes the listener on a journey of rises and breaks sure to leave crowds dying for more.
“I’m a massive hip hop fan, so this was a big moment for me. I’d always wanted to work with a great hip hop artist, and Chuck D is definitely one of the greatest,” says Zo of the collaboration (pictured below with Chuck D).
