Matroda cements his status as established House star with Jack The House EP Pt 3

 

What better way to wrap up 2022 than to give Mozart a bit of a bass working over?

 

Croatia’s Matroda has been on our radar since his explosive remix of SNBRN’s ‘California’ back in 2015 with none other than Chris Lake. We’re not the only ones – fans include the likes of Major Lazer, Tiësto, Diplo, Calvin Harris, Porter Robinson, Dillon Francis, Pete Tong and more. Named Top 26 producer in the world in 2020 by the venerable bods at 1001 Tracklists, his ‘matrodasound’ has been constantly evolving, keeping his sound fresh and in demand.

 

Jack The House Pt. 3 includes two previously released singles, ‘Wasting Time’ and ‘Temperature’, but boasts four new cuts including afore-mentioned classical reworking ‘MOZART’. Fusing wickedly light piano with a penetrating bassline, the single is bewitching, familiar and unknown at the same time, and should prove DJs the world over with a sinfully entertaining dance floor bomb for those mid-peak sessions. ‘MAIN INGREDIENTS’ and ‘BODY MOVE’ fuse slinky riffs and hooks with enticing vocals, while ‘BEEP’ essentially does what it says on the tin, marrying monumental bass drops with a hypnotic beep and cheeky answer phone sample that is used just enough to keep it fresh and interesting.
