Croatian star Matroda drops ‘Hangin’ On’, the second single from his hotly anticipated EP and follow on from last month’s hit ‘Britney’. Sampling Kim Wilde’s 80s smash ‘Keep Me Hangin’ On’, Matroda laces his cut with powerful, pulsating basslines and chunky synths, developing a chugging slice of tech house that should find its place on dancefloors worldwide, including those frequented by the man himself as he tours the States and beyond.
The Terminal Underground boss is increasingly a heavy hitter on the electronic music scene, his signature ‘Matrodasound’ a blend of house music, orchestral and percussive elements, and samples that call on a broad range of influences from Led Zeppelin all the way to Frank Sinatra. With consistent support from the likes of Diplo and Calvin Harris, and performances at EDC Las Vegas, Ibiza, and other flagship festivals, and a #2 album on the influential Tracklist1001 producer chart in the shape of ‘THE RED TAPE’, his forays into A-list territory are becoming more frequent and sustained. With sell-out shows – including the iconic Hollywood Palladium – and global tours across 2023 and 2024, the Matrodasound looks set to be a dominating force for years to come.
