Matroda Unites With Dino DZ on Weighty Tech House Single “Saturday Love” on Insomniac Records – OUT NOW

Matroda links up with emerging house artist Dino DZ on their new single “Saturday Love,” the next single to surface on Insomniac Records

Croatian producer Matroda is a classically trained musician and chart-dominating sensation who coined the term “matrodasound” to give himself free range to create dynamic grooves drawing inspiration from house, R&B, classic rock, tech house, disco, and beyond. For his next outing on Insomniac Records, he’s found rummaging through the crates of ‘80s soul music to unveil “Saturday Love,” teaming up with Slovenian producer Dino DZ on their weighty tech house collab.

The track is anchored to an interpolation of a timeless vocal snippet culled from Cherelle and Alexander O’Neal’s gold-certified hit of the same name, whose enamored R&B chorus tallied up the time spent consumed by the thought of that someone special. Now taking the form of a female-male harmony, the looped hook synchronizes with pumping drums, chunky basslines, and volleying synth plucks that help the track flip through the calendar until it’s clear that love is the only thing on the brain.

“I produced the song during my off days I spent in Florida,” says Matroda. “Felt really inspired listening to a lot of ‘80s soul music at that time. Always trying to create something new and a bit different sound-wise.”

Raised in the picturesque woodlands of Maribor, Dino DZ has been making a name for himself in the house realm with funky, body-moving tracks such as “Damn Phones,” “People Sayin’ (Get Up),” and “House Healed Me.” The rising Slovenian talent tends to gravitate towards catchy vocals and classic influences, both of which are evident in his new collab.

Since making his debut on Insomniac in 2020, Matroda has refined his ever-evolving style through nonstop singles on the label. From piano-fueled jams like “Gotta Let You Go” and “Rescue Me,” to his more club-centric cuts such as “Gimme Some Keys” and “PWR” alongside Bleu Clair, the Croatian-born phenom has a stockpile of slammers that he has been rinsing out on the road recently at premier places like Beyond Wonderland, EDC Mexico, Vanguard, Echostage, Insomniac Records x D4 D4NCE Pool Party during Miami Music Week, and more. He’s  currently gearing up for his debut headline show at the iconic Hollywood Palladium at the end of April. Matroda and Dino DZ’s infectious house creation “Saturday Love” is one that will have you wrapped around its finger every single day of the week.
