Matthias Tanzmann is back on his own Moon Harbour with ‘Mezcalita’, another fresh collaboration with Zurich’s Black Circle. This is the next coming together of these two artists following their recent releases ‘Aftermath’ and ‘’Masina’.
Matthias has also recently stepped out with a fresh solo single in the form of ‘Lobo’ following tunes with the likes of Steve Bug and Francisco Allendes. Each of them proved that after more than 20 years in the game, he is still finding new sounds within the tech house world, all while remaining one of the most recognisable DJs on the planet. Swiss artist Black Circle is a famously gifted producer and composer who has worked with giants like CamelPhat, Rony Seikaly and Nic Fanciulli. He is a perfectionist in the studio and always brings great detail to his tunes.
‘Mezcalita’ is no different: it is a steamy and tribal cut with tropical drums peppering the textured groove. Raw but hypnotic, it’s an ever-evolving and dynamic rhythm that really comes alive with a seductive lead synth. It’s warm, muted and full of soul and as the tension builds it provides the sense of release that will send the dance floor wild.
This track continues Matthias’s recent trend toward collaborating and it’s sure to be everywhere this spring and beyond.
