Already well into its stride in 2021, Moon Harbour now serves up a perfect coming together of two dance music titans: ‘Resilience’ is an essential new single from label head Matthias Tanzmann and Poker Flat chief Steve Bug.
Matthias Tanzmann kept on serving up the goods in 2020 despite everything: the label clocked up a 100th digital release and he also got to the number one slot of the Beatport Afro House Chart with ‘Chano’ (DJ CHUS Remix) as well as collaborating once more with Black Circle on ‘Masina.’ Steve Bug meanwhile released his latest full-length album Never Ending Winding Roads in November and explored a perfectly contemplative minimal house and broody techno sound. These two have decades of experience between them, and now find a perfect sweet spot on this new single.
‘Resilience’ is a beautifully subtle deep house track that slowly but surely draws you in with its neat melodic riffs and carefully deployed, classic sounding piano stabs. The warm, shuffling drums are softened by nice shaker sounds and the rich bass rumbles way down low with occasional vocals adding soulful details.
This is a perfect track for cosy home dancing sessions or early warm up slots alike.
