Me & George Teams Up with BRUX for ‘Can’t Get Thru’

Wiggy club pressure comes from Me & George and BRUX on new single ‘Can’t Get Thru’, ahead of the ‘Wurk it’ EP, due on 20th June

Rising electronic artist Me & George returns with a new single, ‘Can’t Get Thru’, co-produced by and featuring vocals from Australian multi-hyphenate BRUX. Dropping today via Halfpipe Records, the track is the final teaser from the hotly anticipated Wurk it EP.

Following the success of April’s hard-hitting single ‘Umami’ with Povoa, ‘Can’t Get Thru’ continues the momentum with a high-energy club track, fusing UK funky-style drums with a warped bass synth that dominates the mix. BRUX injects emotional depth into the song with her chopped, processed vocals, adding a distinctly human edge to the dancefloor-ready production.

The full Wurk it EP showcases Me & George’s boundary-pushing collaborations with artists like Human Movement, Boston Bun, 1-800 GIRLS, and Povoa. The project has evolved into a broader creative initiative, blending genres and scenes through a monthly residency at Paris nightclub Sacré. The residency, also titled wUrK it, features collaborators from the EP, with BRUX set to join Me & George for a special performance on release day.

Emerging as a formidable name in dance music, Me & George made waves with his debut George EP in October 2023. Garnering over 8 million streams, his music has been remixed and championed by the likes of Logic1000, Laurence Guy, Baltra, and Model Man. His genre-fluid sets—spanning house, tech house, breakbeat, and UK garage—have seen him share stages with tastemakers including Sammy Virji, Oppidan, and Y U QT across the UK and Europe.

Meanwhile, BRUX continues to cement her reputation as a trailblazer in electronic music. With releases on Fool’s Gold, Future Classic, Ninjatune, Kitsuné, and LuckyMe, her work blends heavy, industrial club textures with catchy, vocal-forward songwriting. She has earned praise from Billboard, DJ Mag, Rolling Stone, and Mixmag, and has collaborated with artists such as Baauer, Kimbra, and Hamdi.

‘Can’t Get Thru’ is out today on Halfpipe Records.
