Melt! Festival Announce 40 More Acts for 2015

After announcing their first wave of acts last month, Germany’s premier festival Melt! are bringing out the guitars and extending their line-up with the legendary shoe gaze band Ride, psychedelic pop rockers Django Django and post-rock Scots Mogwai, BRIT Award nominee Jamie T and king of SoCal cool, Toro Y Moi.

Elsewhere on the trademark industrial Ferropolis peninsula setting, the Gemini Stage will celebrate a mix of intelligent urban music and future beats this year with the likes of Kaytranada, Hudson Mohawke (live), Young Fathers, A-Trak and Odesza alongside already confirmed acts such as Evian Christ, Cashmere Cat or Cakes da Killa. Melt! are also pleased to announce one of the most promising pop acts of the year, BBC 2015 Sound Poll winners Years & Years.

The Big Wheel and Sleepless Floor will see performances and DJ sets by some of electronic music’s finest, including Audion (live), KiNK, (live), Zenker Brothers, Lawrence, Job Jobse and Max Graef (live). More acts will be announced soon.

The famous Melt! pre-party at Intro Zelt on Thursday 16th July is also taking shape with producer legend Trevor Horn, who is responsible for uberhits like Video Killed the Radio Star and Relax, performing all his classic hits. Disco queens Hercules and Love Affair, Pollyester and Gorgon City have also been added.

Tickets for #melt2015 from 17th -19th July in Ferropolis as well as the pre-party at Intro Zelt on 16th July are available via www.meltfestival.de/tickets.

Melt! Festival will once again take place in the inimitable setting on the Ferropolis peninsula, two hours South of Berlin. A former open-air mining site, Ferropolis has been dubbed the City of Iron thanks to the huge ensemble of behemoth mining cranes and excavators which sit dormant on it. Ferropolis juts out onto a picturesque lake which festival-goers swim in by day to cool down in the 30 degree heat. By night, the majestic mining machines come to life as they’re lit up in an array of colours and lasers, providing a truly unique backdrop to the festival.
