Melt! Festival Announces Final Acts

With two and half months to go, Germany’s premier festival Melt! can finally reveal the full line-up for 2015.

Rounding up the Intro Zelt pre-party line up on Thursday 16th July will be genre-blending electropop diva, Santigold and NYC based six-piece, Darwin Deez.

Elsewhere, Alle Farben and Pool will take over Melt’s Gemini Stage. Tove Lo and The Districts will conquer the main stage whereas Berghain icon Marcel Dettmann, Scuba and Good Guy Mikesh get behind the decks at the Big Wheel.

Funkstörung, who celebrate their reunion this year, The Orb, with a brand-new record (Kompakt) in tow, Robot Koch and Shed alias Head High complete the high-calibre Melt! Selektor Stage which will be opened by Modeselektor on Friday.

The aptly titled, non-stop Sleepless Floor – which stays open for the entire 72 hours of the festival – will see DJ sets by British radio icon, Essential Mix host and all-round general tastemaker Pete Tong, Hot Since 82, DJ Tennis, The Black Madonna, Dasha Rush (live), Matrixxman, Roi Perez and Dekmantel Soundsystem.

The latter are already confirmed to keep the crowd entertained on the MiXery Melt! Train, the festival’s very own train which brings people across from Cologne to Ferropolis in true Melt! style. One of the most unique transportation / accommodation features of any European festivals, the train takes passengers direct to the festival’s doorstep and comes with DJs and a fully stocked bar. Once at the festival, it stays there for the duration, with its cabins turning into comfortable on-site accommodation.

Since Melt! couldn’t decide on on one act to be the winner of their Gigmit band contest, they have simply added two of the contestants to the line-up: Wyoming will open the Intro Tent on Friday, and Mama will be playing the Gemini stage on Saturday.

Festival tickets, pre-party tickets as well as numerous travel and accommodation offers are listed under www.meltfestival.de. A full timetable will be available in the following weeks.

Santigold
Marcel Dettmann
The Orb
Pete Tong
