Lost City Of Atlantis - Melted Ice Exposed Treasures

Rhythm&Soul’s Slow Town Records imprint readies a release from Lost City Of Atlantis – a mysterious project from a well-known Chicago producer.

Slow Town Records has built up a solid discography since it’s launch five years ago, with artists such as Jef K, Chris Carrier, Norm Talley, Mike Dunn / QX1, Le Loup, Junktion, Nail, and more spanning the roster. At the same time label founder Rhythm&Soul has earned himself a reputation as a excellent producer, appearing on labels such as Silver Network, Organic Music, Djebali, as well as his other imprint, Jus Groove It.

‘The Maze’ sets the tone for the release with a raw cut comprised of syncopated percussion and trippy synth melodies. ‘Secret Code Of 7’ then combines intricate drums with acid licks and infectious arpeggios before ‘Microchip’ meanders forward with a stripped back groove joined by fuzzy stabs and spectral pads. Concluding the package, ‘Four’ is a medley of stuttering beats, ghostly samples and echoing effects.

Lost City Of Atlantis ‘Melted Ice Exposed Treasures EP’ drops on Slow Town Records in late February 2017.
