Mike Skinner – You Better Be

Mike Skinner has been slow to start the year but is guaranteeing a bumper crop of madness for 2015.

In the pipeline are pieces of music with Murkage as well as collaborations with Toddla T and Skepta.

Dividing his time equally now between music and filming, the experiences that his DJing accords him with with feed into the subjects he covers in video diary form on his new youtube channel.

High and low culture are always in sharp relief; last week he presented 3 hours of essentially country music for BBC 6Music in the name of songs that have good lyrics but by that week’s end he was preparing to wheel up every tune at the currently mobile Tonga, this month (30th January, 10pm-4am) at THE WAITING ROOM, London.
