Mimi Barks Drops Sinister New Single ‘ABYSS’

Showcasing the end of an era, Mimi barks has shared her new ear shattering single ABYSS. The single will feature on her recently announced mixtape ‘DEADGIRL’, a collection of her most recent and upcoming singles which is set for release in December 2022 via Silent Cult. With ABYSS we see Mimi Barks in a whole new light from recent times as the track signifies the end of broken past. Born again, Mimi has produced a blistering piece of art that’s both spiritual and beautifully brutal all at the same time.

ABYSS plays an important role in the conclusion of her highly anticipated mixtape which is covered in the immense brutality and the aggression of what Mimi has endured throughout her journey. Within the ‘DEADGIRL’ mixtape Mimi provides a musical onslaught by exploiting her newly found self-freedom.

“‘From hatred for myself and the world, narcissistic & delusional aloofness and chaos in my brain, to self-growth through spirituality. From self-hailing to self-healing; this is the final dance for letting go of the past.

It’s the rebirth of a broken child, a DEADGIRL. Now reborn as a leader, as her own god; indestructible and inviolable.

This is revenge.”
– MIMI BARKS

Fresh off her UK tour supporting Saint Agnes and the colossal EU and UK tour supporting the legendary Combichrist, Mimi will also join UK rock giants ‘Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes on tour this November.

The announcement of the ‘DEADGIRL’ mixtape follows shortly after Mimi Barks was awarded ‘The Disrupter’ award at the official Kerrang! Awards 2022. Her recent singles have seen her championed at radio by Nels Hylton of BBC Radio 1’s Future Alternative and both Alex Baker and Johnny Doom of Kerrang Radio. She graced both Kerrang! Magazine and Metal Hammer pages while also receiving high praise from the likes of Rock Sound, Revolver Magazine, LOUDER, Distorted Sound Magazine, Bring The Noise and many more.
