Mind Against reunites with rising producer/vocalist CAY on the CAN’T U HEAR ME / TRUST  EP, the latest on Mind Against’s HABITAT label, dropping this Thursday, February 27th.

On this, the energy of three masterminds collaborate to create something truly unique. On  ‘CAN’T U HEAR ME’, Mind Against and CAY blur the lines between raw intensity and euphoria, stretching techno’s emotional possibilities. The masterful trio set a sonic scene through deep, sustaining piano keys, rousing pads and floating melodies, as CAY’s huge, raspy vocals tear from the heart right through the track, making for a showstopping drop. This epic moment was experienced across the globe last year, most notably at Tomorrowland (watch here), and Afterlife Tulum.

The EP’s second track, ‘TRUST,’ is a testament to the synergy the group cultivated in the studio, which resulted in a cosmic flow of creative energy. It features a heady cocktail of analogue synths draped in hardware reverb, while pitched-up vocal phrases add an extra layer of drama. The melodic techno drums get replaced this time for shuffling characterful drums full of character, swing and groove.

The release comes off the back of their last hit ‘FLORAL’, and a huge 2024 for the Berlin-based Italian duo, Mind Against, who continue to prove themselves as titans in the dance music scene. They took their awesome HABITAT show, featuring their now-iconic LED ring lighting feature, The Orbital, all over the world to sold-out crowds, and dropped ‘OnlyL’ feat. TSHA & Nimmo on Habitat, marking their second self-release on the label.

Mind Against draws from their combined roots of IDM, house and techno, the Italian-based duo are made up of Alessandro and Federico Fognini. Expressing their sound through a melodic, psychedelic palette, they have released on their multi-disciplinary imprint, HABITAT, and severable notable labels including Afterlife and Hotflush.

This isn’t the first collaboration between Mind Against and Cologne-based DJ/producer and live act CAY, who has achieved nearly 10 million streams and is known for his work with ARTBAT. Their joint smash-hit single ‘FLORAL’, which came out in April last year, has been heavily supported by the likes of Joris Voorn, Armin Van Buuren and loads more.

The spellbinding CAN’T U HEAR ME / TRUST EP from Mind Against and CAY lands on HABITAT this Thursday. Keep your eyes peeled for more collaborations from this hit-making trio.
