Badin Brothers - Mind Over Matter

Acclaimed London-based house Producer / DJ duo Badin Brothers cement their reputation as one of the most exciting names in house music and artists to watch in 2019 with ‘Mind Over Matter’, released on HOUSEKEEPING Records on 29 March 2019.

Returning to HOUSEKEEPING Records following last year’s celebrated ‘Caravan’ EP and 2017’s ‘Music Off’ EP, ‘Mind Over Matter’ is set to win Badin Brothers further plaudits.

The exhilarating ‘Mind Over Matter’ is a euphoric, deep and dirty cut reminiscent of the very best ‘90s underground house anthems, thanks to its well-rounded and warm synths and bass. The effortlessly cool and transcendent vocal carries the listener through the track with the hypnotic lyrics and poetic paean to club culture (“I just wanted to dance, I just wanted to fly”) certain to make a big impact on dance-floors around the world.

‘Mind Over Matter’ is backed by a spellbinding Dub remix which strips back the vocal to highlight the mesmerising beats, peppered with the chant like “I just wanted to dance, I just wanted to fly” vocal refrain, making for a remix that will surely be a peak time floor-filler over the coming months.

Badin Brothers are the Paris born, London based production duo of Scott and Olivier Badin. The duo are renowned for their ability to produce rich and soulful music that blends styles with strong percussion elements and Latin American influences. This is also displayed in their exciting, energetic DJ sets which saw them make their Ibiza debut in 2014. Since then, Badin Brothers have played across the world. Their ‘Music Off’ EP (2017) and 2018 ‘Caravan’ EP (ft. Octopus Kid) both on HOUSEKEEPING Records, ‘Dance I Say’ EP (2018) on Luca M’s Hey Momma! label, and ‘Monkey Flute’ (2019) on Crossings all received strong support from a variety of leading DJs including Dennis Ferrer, Richie Hawtin, Gorgon City, Claptone, Richy Ahmed, Claude VonStroke, Steve Lawler, Nic Fanciulli, and Paco Osuna.

Badin Brothers ‘Mind Over Matter’ presents the distinctive sound that has made HOUSEKEEPING Records so revered, winning the label fans around the world and playing to sell-out audiences for their label showcases. In Summer 2018, HOUSEKEEPING were the weekly residents at the prestigious Black Coffee Saturdays at Hï Ibiza and later that year, played at Fabric for ANTS and at the Polaris Festival.
