Ministry Of Sound To Transform Itself For Epic 2-Part Birthday

Ministry of Sound are pulling out all the stops for a sensational two part 28th birthday on September 28th and October 5th 2019. These mouthwatering events will see the entire club utterly transformed with immersive decor, fully realised themes and music from Faithless (DJ Set), DJ Harvey, Space Dimension Controller, Alfredo, Youngr (live), Feelings and many more. These epic events will form the high point of a celebration that lasts two weeks in all and will draw on the varied and vital history of the world’s most iconic club as well as the music it has helped to define.

The whole of the celebrated venue is set to be transformed with a level of detail and immersive production that you have never experienced before: each of the club’s famous rooms will take on its own character with actors and performers milling around to add to the uniquely theatrical occasion, all with you as one of the central starring characters in this unforgettable, movie-like experience.

Each room will become a different party capital: The Courtyard becomes Ibiza, and once you are welcomed through Ibiza airport, you will find yourself in a classic beach club setting with smoking areas and a glitzy bar, sun loungers to pose on for selfies and various themed inflatables, decor and much more besides, all with a sun-kissed and Balearic soundtrack to match.

The Box will transport you to the heart of New York City with iconic imagery and symbols paying homage to one of the most important cities in the development of dance music. Think huge disco balls, skylines, statues and much more as you are immersed in a truly colourful and welcoming atmosphere, all with an old school flair and hedonistic spirit.

The 103 will be all about London, with giant structures, hanging signs, LED screens, shoeboxes, inflatables and performers all celebrating everything that makes the capital the most vibrant city in the world and such a fitting home for a club of Ministry of Sound’s standing.

The first of the two mammoth events on September 29th features dance music royalty Faithless doing a DJ Set, with a live show from Youngr, plus the much talked about industry insider and author of a top selling exposé, Secret DJ, as well as MoS founder Justin Berkmann and a live PA from Sean Bradford. Part 2 comes a week later on October 5th when DJ Harvey returns to the club. The iconic DJ held his own special residency at the club last year and is a real rockstar with a multi genre sound and unique style of playing. He will be joined by R&S’s cosmic explorer and space techno master Space Dimension Controller, while original Balearic pioneer Alfredo brings a wonderfully mixed bag of music and love, and Feelings rounds out the line-up.

Ministry of Sound has been a pioneering force in underground music for 28 years, and this will be a genuinely epic two week period of parties that match the suitably epic occasion.
