Mitch Oliver Returns To SLAPPED Records With ‘Control Z’

One of the most talented artists to emerge from the East Coast’s flourishing melodic movement, Mitch Oliver is looking to make 2024 his most prolific year to date. Following the launch of his SLAPPED Records imprint at the end of last year with its debut offering ‘Hidden Gem’, the Montreal native now returns to the forefront of the release radar with his latest single ‘Control Z’.

Premiered during his November livestream initiative, which was recorded from a picturesque rooftop location in his home city, Mitch’s ‘Control Z’ is another showcase in steamy and seductive deep house that represents some of his most refined work to date. The surefire house anthem allures listeners with five minutes of unequivocally cool synth work and vast bass tones, set below tender vocal muses, courtesy of Might Delete Later. An essential addition to both Mitch and SLAPPED Records’ burgeoning discographies, ‘Control Z’s’ impact has already been felt across the club circuit, entering the touring playlists of some of dance music’s biggest players.

With over 2 million streams on Spotify alone and a slew of house music gems for the likes of Kindisch, TrybesOf, Hoomidas and XYZ, Mitch Oliver is fast becoming a trailblazer for the resurgence of Montreal’s melodic wave. Presenting a captivating fusion of deep, emotive rhythms and smooth synth elements, the SLAPPED Records label chief is carving a brand new lane within the house realm; one that’s synonymous with authenticity and progression.

Ensuring the dancefloor remains an arena of unforgettable moments and unity, Mitch has left his mark in global hotspots such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Miami and New York, welcoming a rush of new followers with each performance through his vibrant energy and deeply connected sets. Kickstarting the year with a stellar performance opening for Armin van Buuren at New City Gas, Mitch will return to Igloofest with Miss Monique and Hidden Empire on February 10th before embarking on his next South America tour.
