Mochakk pays tribute to Spain with Samba-inspired single ‘NO8DO’

Brazilian house sensation Mochakk sends a tribute to Seville with his new single ‘NO8DO’, out via Cercle on 4th May.

Featuring the beautiful tones of Brazilian singer Fernanda Oura, ‘NO8DO’ is an intoxicating blend of Brazilian flavours and house grooves. The track sees Mochakk contemplating Spain’s beauties from a Brazilian traveler’s viewpoint, sending a romantic letter to a lover back in Brazil. Inspired by the phrase “No me ha dejado,” / “NO8DO”, which is the motto and logo of Seville, the single is a lovingly crafted stylistic exchange between Brazil and Spain, bursting with intercultural references.

Fittingly, ‘NO8DO’ follows Mochakk’s stunning headline Cercle show at Seville’s world-renowned Plaza de España in April, the largest capacity Cercle show to date.

Fast-rising viral sensation, Mochakk grew up in the midst of skating and hip-hop culture and found his musical start as a beatmaker before eventually pivoting to electronic music. Known as a meticulous producer and a mesmerising performer, his out-of-the-box, thrilling persona behind the decks match his prolific production. After discovering house music in particular, he progressively made his name in Brazil, his home country. During a momentous 2022, Mochakk’s presence went global as he embarked upon an expansive North American tour with multiple sold-out dates, dominated a laundry list of festivals internationally, and a summer slot at the church for Circoloco.

Following the breathtaking recent Cercle show and his showing at Coachella last month, Mochakk has an all-summer Circoloco Ibiza Residency, having played a B2B set with Back Coffee at Hi Ibiza opening party in late April and has further summer dates at Kaapa Festival in Italy, SAGA Festival in Bucharest and Barcelona’s Sonar Festival.

‘NO8DO’ is a love letter to the city of Seville and an intoxicating stylistic blend of Brazilian and Spanish culture from the global phenomenon that is Mochakk.
