This winter, the team at Underground Audio proudly welcomes the up and coming Lewis Jimenez to the label with his three original groovers in “Modulation” EP. Lewis is becoming a household name within the industry with releases coming up on formidable labels such as Saved, as well as maintaining a number of residencies in Ibiza throughout the season.
Opening up the EP with “Modulation”, Lewis immediately forms a strong foundation wth a deep and heavy bass driving the track forward. This late-night groover gains momentum through long suspended breaks, laced with enigmatic vocal samples and tastefully placed percussion. With a good balance of tension and release, this dark groover is wonderfully placed to take after-hours sets to another dimension.
Taking the tempo up a notch is the second original, “Man on the Moog”. Featuring a Balearic and festive atmosphere from the start, this track comprises a fantastic blend of percussion and bass motifs that are have been capturing the Ibiza scene all season. Subtle synth elements placed wrapped around the warm bass motif add excitement and flare, making this track an ideal peak-time groover.
The EP comes to a close with the final track “Alma”, a smooth tech-house roller that brings back the atmosphere of the ever-popular daytime parties in sunny locations. Light, yet energetic, this track is perfectly suited for rooftops, open-air and early-hour applications. “Modulation” EP by Lewis Jimenez, brought to you by Underground Audio.
