Moga Festival returns to Essaouira on Morocco's Atlantic coast on October 12th, 13th and 14th 2018 for another tasteful mix of electronic music and culture that features artists from around the world as well as plenty of talented locals.
Moga Festival unfolds in the picturesque city of Essaouira, the filming location for "The Red City" from the world famous series Game of Thrones. It's a blissful location by the sea with grand old architecture, hot sun and local cuisines, culture and colour, all making it a one-of-a-kind experience. For three days, fans of African, Moroccan and international sound are encourage to get lost in this historic place and enjoy intense moments of music, cultural exchange and friendly communion.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the legendary Essaouira captivates travelers and inspires artists from round the world. Rich with a past full of history, this old Portuguese city became a peaceful hippie haven in the 60s and now its architectural delights resonate beyond its borders. As such Moga Festival is inspired by this heritage and aims to create a link between traditional and contemporary cultures.
In 2016, Moga Festival brought together over 5,000 festival goers and international artists such as Ron Morelli, DJ Tennis, Terekke, YokoO, Mind Against, Magda, Lee Burridge, and SIS and many unprecedented performances gave rise to plenty of magical moments.
For its 2018 edition, Moga Festival will take over several cultural, historical, and essential sites around Essaouira and present the avant-garde of the international scene and a tasteful mix of Moroccan, Maghrebian and African artists for a range of afternoon and evening concerts.
