Monolink Returns to Embassy One with ‘Light Up My Dark’

‘Light Up My Dark’ – the captivating new single from German record producer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Monolink – is out today, July 26, via long-standing Berlin-based record label Embassy One.

The latest addition to an already sparkling career discography, ‘Light Up My Dark’ marks Steffen Linck’s eagerly anticipated return to his staple home following the release of his critically acclaimed studio albums ‘Under Darkening Skies’ in 2021 and ‘Amniotic’ in 2019.

Showcasing an inimitable sound design that is entrancingly thought-provoking and beautifully dynamic, the new single sees Monolink deliver an introspective slice of vocal electronica that seems suitably designed for both festival dancefloors and at home listening alike. Embarking on a hypnotizing excursion of longing, minor tones and uplifting juxtaposed synthesizers, Steffen’s despondent lyrics are underpinned by more hopeful melodies and driving organic percussion, all of which continue to act as a unique hallmark for an artist whose creativity seems to know no limits.

The single also drops alongside an official music video, featuring Steffen himself, which was shot from a beautifully lit rural courtyard location in Melides, on Portugal’s west coast.
