Australian DJ/Producer, Monster Machine, is stepping boldly into the spotlight with her explosive debut single ‘Rage’, which also comes with the announcement of her forthcoming debut EP, EXALTED.
After two years of refining her craft behind the decks, Monster Machine is now channelling her energy into a sound that blends the grit of Trap with the intensity of Drum & Bass. Drawing inspiration from boundary-pushing artists like RL Grime, Nitepunk, and Knock2, Monster Machine is carving out a fierce and future-facing identity.
Her upcoming debut EP, titled EXALTED, is slated for release this November, but today she’s offering a fiery first taste with the release of ‘Rage’.
Inspired by the raw energy of Billie Eilish’s ‘Bad Guy’, Penny shares how the idea for ‘Rage’ came about:
“The idea for ‘Rage’ came about as I was driving and listening to Billie Eilish’s ‘Bad Guy’. The sample and pulsing rhythm of the pedestrian light crossing that she used in her track was huge inspiration, and I wanted to recreate a version of that in EDM form.”
With its pounding beats and electrified drops, ‘Rage’ is a statement debut that sets the tone for what’s to come from Monster Machine — a high-octane project not to be overlooked.
