Off the back of Montao’s triumphant return for 2025, with the Atmospheric Bossa-Nova Hiphop-esq style single, “Je T’Adore” featuring Ghostface Killah of Wu Tang Clan, his next offering goes down a different lane in form of instrumental track “Jigsaws”.
Whilst growing up, amidst his musical journey in the UK through the late 1990’s and 2000’s, there was a clear love and passion for the fusion of alternative dance music and hip-hop influences, derived from the likes of Groove Armada, Mr Scruff, Fatboy Slim, Rae and Christian, and DJ Yoda to name a few.
These British artists amongst many others made a musical stamp on the culture, and have shaped Montao into the artist and producer he is today.
Jigsaws weaves amongst a web of fresh funky loops, with bright horns and shimming head nodding sounds. Cleverly intertwined amidst a puzzle of motifs and riffs.
