Bringing an infectious energy behind the decks and in the studio, our new roster artist Shelley Johannason hailing from Toronto is set to launch her 2nd EP “Moody Bloom” on Octopus Black Label this October 17th.
The collection of 3 original tracks on the EP further display her exploration of the club- jacking style she is fast becoming known for. Earth quaking, bass driven, drum machine workouts are her thing. Watch this space!
Thumping bass for your techno pleasure, 'Moody Bloom' comes out firing with some slamming attitude in the low end and eating tops to get anyone moving. Add in the acidic inspired riff that breaks the track down, and you get a powerhouse of a floor pounder.
‘Deleted Dreams’ draws from the deeper and darker corners of the melodic spectrum, as a vocal stab echoes amidst the slow and ooze-like percussive driven ensemble.
Last but not least 'You Will See' brings a more groove oriented flow to the mixture. Highly percussive in dominance and more bouncy in low-end presence, this track rounds off the EP with just the right amount of techno funk you were craving.
