More acts announced for Riverside Festival

The Electric Frog & Pressure Riverside Festival have today added Pan-Pot, Cajmere, Francois K, Melting Pot, notsosilent and Mash to the impressive line-up for the two day event this May Bank Holiday weekend.

The Electric Frog & Pressure Riverside Festival have already confirmed a dynamic line-up including 2ManyDJs, Jamie Jones, Andrew Weatherall, Derrick Carter, Derrick May, Felix Da Housecat, Laurent Garnier, Lord of the Isles, Moritz Von Oswald, DJ Sneak, Slam, Sunday Circus, Tiga, Visionquest and Vitalic (live).

Headlining the second stage on the opening day of the festival is Berlin-duo Pan-Pot who will play a world exclusive back-to-back set with Slam on Saturday.  Long-time collaborators with Slam, Pan-Pot are no strangers to Glasgow earning a place in the hearts of the local crowd with their infectious and exhilarating take on techno.

Ceaselessly working and endlessly inventive, when not in the studio writing original material or remixing tracks by a myriad of artists, Pan-Pot can be found on the road touring.  Organisers are delighted to have Pan-Pot back and if previous occasions are anything to go by,  they predict that their set at the Riverside will be nothing short of electric.

Riverside Festival are also excited to announce the collaboration of two DJ’s and producers that have taken the Chicago house sound across the globe. New edition Cajmere – the house guise of the artist also known as Green Velvet – will play an exclusive and rare back-to-back set with DJ Sneak, promising to bring the very best in Chi-town house music exuberance to Glasgow’s leading electronic dance music festival.

Joining the mix of cutting-edge and legendary talent on the bill on Sunday is Francois K; widely considered as one of the forefathers of house music, the DJ and highly respected producer has worked with Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder and Daft Punk throughout his career. With famous DJ collaborations involving Dimitri and Derrick May, his DJ career of 30 years and counting includes David Mancuso’s seminal The Loft party and a residence at Studio 54 and Paradise Garage. With his Body and Soul and Deep Space events being the most revered parties in NYC, Francois K was inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame in 2005, showing he is a genuine pioneer and exceptional DJ and an exciting addition to the growing line-up.

Joining the Sunday line-up is Melting Pot – the club night that brought disco to the attention of Glasgow clubbers and who continue to bring some of the biggest names in house, disco and all the electronic music points in-between to the city. Melting Pot will also host Sunday’s after party at The Admiral.

Party purveyors notsosilent will also take their three-man crew to the decks this May. Their flare for throwing memorable parties in Edinburgh and Glasgow is sure to go down well with the home crowd.

Finally, House Editor at Mixmag, owner of compact records, one half of the notorious party organisers  Jengaheads and one of the very few radio DJ’s championing the sound of global electronic music in Scotland  Mash, will bring all his favourite cuts from the last twenty years to the Electric Frog & Pressure Riverside Festival this May Bank Holiday weekend.

Now increased to a two day event, the outdoor music festival takes place on the grounds of the iconic Riverside Museum and The Tall Ship, on the banks of the River Clyde over the May Bank Holiday weekend (3rd and 4th May) from 4pm – 11pm. The event will feature two covered stages, street food, a variety of bars and vintage stalls bringing together a real carnival atmosphere.

Priced at £30 for day tickets and £55 for weekend tickets, fans can purchase via Tickets Scotland and Resident Advisor. www.tickets-scotland.com

The party is a day and night affair with the Riverside festival after parties taking place at The Admiral and SWG3 in the city. Tickets are on-sale now and can be purchased separately from festival tickets via Tickets Scotland.
