Morocco’s Oasis Festival Releases Final Lineup & Announces Day by Day Schedule

The Oasis Festival, taking place for the third time this September 14-17 on the outskirts of Marrakech, Morocco announces their final wave of artists and presents the day-by-day schedule for 2017. Taking over the luxury music resort, The Source, new additions to the already stacked lineup of house and techno talent include Jackmaster back to back Axel Boman, Joy Orbison back to back Kornél Kovács, as well as DJ sets from Modeselektor, Driss Skali, Matt Medved, and Tijana T. With heavyweights Solomun, Richie Hawtin, Maceo Plex, Nicolas Jaar, Marcel Dettmann, Anja Schneider, KiNK and Charlotte de Witte also on the bill, this is set to be the festival’s biggest edition to date.
 
For the first time, Oasis kicks off with an official opening party on September 14 with Diynamic label boss Solomun who will take festivalgoers on a four hour melodic journey for his Moroccan debut. Joining him for opening night are Morocco’s underground ambassador Amine K, The Netherlands' Karmon, and Canada’s My Favorite Robot playing back to back with No. 19 innovator Kenny Glasgow.  
 
Day 1 on September 15 brings headline shows from two of techno’s biggest players, Richie Hawtin and Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann. Hardware maestros KiNK, Karenn,and Harvey Sutherland will all perform live, and back to back sets will come from Joy Orbison and Kornél Kovács, Dolan Bergin and Move D. Completing the day’s musical offerings are HAAi, Jaza, Mike Servito, Thris Tian, Willow, and Young Marco.
 
German electronic duo Modeselektor (DJ set) will make their Oasis debut headlining Day 2 alongside Ellum label founder Maceo Plex. Techno gurus Call Super, Charlotte de Witte, Daniel Avery, DJ Stingray, Dr. Rubenstein and Shed will also take to the decks. Analog protagonists Agents of Time and dial regular Pantha du Prince will both play live. Playing back to back are Alex Niggemann and Amine K, Chloé and Ivan Smagghe, alongside Driss Skali, Fassi, and Matt Medved.
 
Day 3 will see the Chilean-American artist Nicolas Jaar bring his captivating live show to Oasis, and Resident Advisor’s number 2 in their 2016 ‘Top 100 DJ Poll’ Jackmaster, will unite with one of Stockholm’s finest, Axel Boman for a back to back special. Teaming up, Henrik Schwarz and Jesse Rose present their emotive collaboration Black Rose, and multi-instrumentalist Giorgia Angiuli will showcase her live performance. Auntie Flo, My Love is Underground founder Jeremy Underground, Detroit selector Tijana T, and Moroccan dance scene founding father Unes will add to the day’s impressive lineup. Finally, topping off a stellar weekend of quality music are Anja Schneider, Artunique, Mar1, Marcellus Pittman, Matthias Meyer back to back Patlac, Patrice Bäumel, and Polyswitch. 
 
Oasis is made complete with stageside swimming pools and for the first time, a wellness lounge known as The Secret Garden will offer open-air yoga, meditation sessions, massages, and a champagne bar. Partnering with L-Acoustics, festivalgoers can expect to experience the most immersive and crystal clear sound possible from every corner of the dancefloor. Continuing to showcase the finest underground dance music talent, Oasis also shines the spotlight on the flourishing Moroccan electronic music scene, making it a must-stop on the international festival circuit.
