Morocco’s Oasis Festival turns 5 in 2019

After a coming-of-age-edition in 2018, Morocco’s Oasis Festival will celebrate its fifth edition from 13th – 15th September 2019. Tickets go on sale at 12pm BST on Thursday 11th October, with a limited amount of early bird passes available.

Oasis Festival’s sold-out 2018 edition, which took place from 14th – 16th September, saw the festival return to its original home of the Fellah Hotel. A melting pot of over 5000 local and international festival goers from all corners of the globe came together to dance and celebrate beneath the Moroccan sun.

Headliners Black Coffee, Carl Cox, The Black Madonna B2B Derrick Carter, Nastia and Ben Klock all delivered standout performances, as did the heroes of the Moroccan underground including Unes, Amine K and Polyswitch. Avalon Emerson, DJ Koze,  Honey Dijon, Larry Heard, Mr. G, Octo Octa, Paula Temple, Powder, Sasha, Virgil Abloh and more all played magical and unique sets, whilst a rich cultural programme, including an on-site museum curated by The Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) and an immersive creative space presented by renowned Moroccan fashion designer Amine Bendriouich, offered an authentic window into the history and culture of Africa. Watch the highlights from 2018 in the new aftermovie.

Founded in 2015, Oasis Festival has steadily proved that it is about more than just music: it is an authentic African holiday experience with a world-class soundtrack in a true paradise location. Its carefully curated programme showcases not only international acts but a wealth of local and regional acts, which has helped bring plenty of international attention and new audiences to the flourishing local scene. The opportunity to explore the desert and ancient city of Marrakech and all the customs and culture it has to offer is what sets it apart from the crowd.

With new innovations and surprises planned for the fifth edition, Oasis Festival 2019 will once again be a boutique and bespoke experience for a wide range of music, art and culture lovers.

Oasis 2019 takes place from 13th – 15th September 2019. Tickets go on sale at 12pm BST on Thursday 11th October, with a limited number of early bird passes available for just €100. Book your place and keep up to date with all of the latest news at theoasisfest.com.
