Mr. Kavalicious (elrow, Toolroom) finds inspiration in his British Asian heritage on latest earworm tech house track, Mera Dil.
Mr. Kavalicious is a British Asian House artist based in London. His music has been released on major Underground House labels such as Toolroom, Elrow, Cr2, Kittball, Criminal Hype. Through his music, he has received support from high profile DJs such as Danny Howard (BBC Radio 1), Jamie Jones, James Hype, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Erick Morillo, Mark Knight and more.
His latest release is Mera Dil (which translates to ‘My Heart’): an infectious tech house cut which takes inspiration from a popular Bollywood song.
Mera Dil has all the hallmarks of a tech house staple, with a chunky, rolling bassline, crisp percussion and headspinning looped melodies. But what sets it apart is the interplay between the ultra-modern production and the evocative vocal: an intoxicating combination that makes it stand out from the crowd.
“As a British Asian House producer, I want to embrace and introduce South Asian culture and sounds to the house scene. I feel it is very underrepresented at the moment, but works very well in a club environment as it brings something fresh, and a sound that a lot of people might not have heard before.” Mr. Kavalicious
