mulletover? 10th Birthday Party

After another successful year in mulletover’s history, this renowned London party brand enters its 10th year with a celebration to mark the integral part it has played so far in the exponential growth of London’s club culture. On Thursday April 17 – the beginning of the Easter weekend – mulletover? 10th Birthday Party comes to Pulse in London Bridge with a host of friends on the bill to mark the occasion.

Representing 10 years of unforgettable events is going to be tough, but mulletover has planned one hell of a party, with Dyed Soundorom, Laura Jones, Ryan Elliott, Geddes, Meat, Futureboogie on the lineup, and another name still to be announced.

At the stern of mulletover’s anniversary edition is Dyed Soundorom; geared up for another year of cross-continental gigs, he brings his apt selection of vinyl to mulletover for the first time. Having released via Crosstown Rebels, Tsuba Records, Defected, and his very own Apollonia label among others, his repertoire is as broad as his influences. Dyed Soundorom promises an exceptional fusion of techno, disco, minimal and house, and a few surprises along the way. mulletover looks forward to welcoming his universally recognised talent.

A house and techno DJ, remixer and producer who broke through via her 2011 record ‘Love N Me’, Laura Jones has played Circo Loco, Fabric, Mysteryland, Electronic Movement Festival, Richie Hawtin’s ‘Enter’, and Back To Basics. Ryan Elliott’s approach to mixing is more profound than most, owing his technique to the rich electronica background of his hometown Detroit. A familiar face at Berlin’s Panorama Bar and Ostgut Ton, Ryan Elliott is welcomed back to the mulletover fold after last year’s phenomenal pool party at Unknown Festival in Croatia.

mulletover’s very own backbone Geddes exemplifies the brand’s sound and sets the vibe with his amalgamation of straight-up, four-to-the-floor house and techno. Geddes continues as one of the UK’s finest offerings to the underground. A regular in the German techno scene, Meat (Carsten Schuchmann) translates his well-travelled sound at mulletover, offering a stripped-back sound with precisely placed bass undertones. In support, Bristol noisemakers Futureboogie will be holding down the floor with their flirtatious grooves and relaxed tempo this April.

The brainchild of Rob Star and Stuart Geddes, mulletover has played a fundamental part in the evolution of the London underground. It has set precedents, broken boundaries and travelled to Ibiza and beyond, around the festival circuit. Having started out with intimate, occasionally illegal parties, bold party makers mulletover listen to their audiences and give them what they want: the parties are wild – mulletover is the very best of times. And with only a few shows per year they still keep up the momentum. With mulletover the experience is of paramount importance. mulletover events encapsulate the very best components in clubbing: fresh talent, high production values and cutting-edge sound.

It’s been 10 years, and a wild ride. Warehouse parties, Valentines parties, after parties, masked ball parties, New Year’s Eve parties, pool parties, Halloween parties, anti-Valentines parties, forest parties, ex-Soviet fishing vessel parties, superclub parties, tracksuit parties, ‘semi-legal’ parties, inflatable igloo parties, Ibiza hills parties…and now mulletover gets to celebrate hitting double figures.
