Multi-media Enchantress Fifi Rong shares Avant-pop single ‘Out Of Clock’
Chinese-British Avant-pop artist Fifi Rong has released her latest single ‘Out Of Clock’ on the 26th of November. The single is the final to be shared before her upcoming self-produced solo album, There Is A Funeral In My Heart, For Every Man I Loved which will be released on the 10th of December via her own imprint. The project was independently crowd-funded and made possible by the support of her enchanted listeners. The album is technically a double LP, with only the English edition being available to the international world while, at the moment, the Chinese version will be exclusively available to her crowdfunding sponsors.
Fifi Rong was born in Beijing and carries a British nationality, as she is currently based in London. The singer-songwriter has had an extraordinary journey through her career and constantly seeks inspiration in new forms as she moves forward, including atmospheric, moody and dark UK underground sounds. In turn, her own sound can be associated with the likes of Bjork, Cocteau Twins’ Elizabeth Fraser, FKA Twigs, ANOHNI and Massive Attack as she displays contemporary ballads with atmospheric production with the emotional and melancholic tones of Shlohmo, Sevdaliza and the sultry sensuality of Lana Del Rey.

Speaking of the song, Fifi Rong tells us, “‘Out of Clock’ is the theme song of the Double Album There Is A Funeral In My Heart, For Every Man I loved 心葬 so in the song, I repeatedly said the song title in a monologue in both Chinese and English. It’s the final revelation of what this album is about. The monologue on the Chinese side describes why there is a funeral in my heart, for every man I loved. I guess for those who don’t understand Chinese, they’ll just have to follow me closely and tune into my exclusive album release journey on one of my many platforms where I will be telling them the full story.”
