Multi-Platinum Producer N3RD Shares New Single ‘Be Happy, So Sweet’

Today, Manchester based multi-platinum producer N3RD has unveiled his new single ‘Be Happy (So Sweet)’, via 5K RECORDS.

Sampling ‘Be Happy‘ by Mary J. Blige, N3RD puts a fresh spin on an iconic R&B staple that’s fit for dancefloors and radio alike. With its punchy beats, sharp hats and catchy vocal lines, the house-infused anthem has all the ingredients of being a hit in the club scene and beyond.

Speaking about the release, N3RD says: “I was sitting in bed one day and decided to grab this Mary J. Blige acapella sample. Fifteen minutes later, I’d finished it, uploaded it to TikTok and it just went off crazy. It ended up hitting reaching the #2 spot on the SoundCloud worldwide charts behind Calvin Harris at #1 – it’s been a mad one!”

N3RD has previously received co-signs from Annie Mac, Diplo and Armand Van Helden. He has also worked with Sigala on ‘Came Here For Love’ ft. Ella Eyre, Nathan Dawe with the platinum hit ‘Flowers’ ft. Jaykae, Tyrone on the iTunes #1 chart-topping track ‘This Is What I Need’, Craig David on ‘When The Bassline Drops’ ft Big Narstie, and he also reached #2 in the UK singles chart producing ‘How We Roll‘ by Loick Essien.

Starting out doing bootleg remixes from his hometown and producing in his bedroom studio while studying at Manchester City College, N3RD (formerly known as White N3RD) moved to London in the early 2010s where he began to make a name for himself in the dance music space. Inspired by mid-’90s hip-hop and the U.K. rave scene, he built his career producing and co-writing for other artists such as M.O., MNEK, and Diplo.
