Southampton's Ronnie Spiteri is really on the charge. He’s a DJ who has played all over the world and his music has had big support from the likes of Pete Tong and Hot Since 82. Now that plays out once more as the Knee Deep In Sound label boss releases a full EP from Spiteri, who is a master of many different styles.
Across two cuts here Spiteri shows off two different sides of his sound. Multiply goes first and is a no nonsense and meaty tech tune with forceful drums that are crisp and macho. A nice vocal sample speaks about kids selling drugs and some big siren like sounds go off to add fuel to the fire. Its a warehouse banger designed to make a big impact and then Revenge on the flip is a little less stern, thanks to the female vocal cries. Chords rattle out with a sense of future doom and the drums get lively to keep you on your toes.
