Music mogul Chris Grayston to release groundbreaking new book…

Chris Grayston needs little introduction, with over 25 years experience in the music industry as an; events director, music promoter, music manager, record label owner, distributer, song writer, producer, publisher and recording studio owner, he can now add author to his resume!

The man behind top UK acts Birdy, Lucy Spraggan and Luke Friend:

Chris has either co-managed, signed to record labels or discovered acts such as; Birdy, Karen Harding, Jacob Banks, Lucy Spraggan and Luke Friend all of whom had success first through the Future Music competitions before getting signed to major record labels. Chris is now set to release a groundbreaking new book that gives aspiring singers advice on how make it in the music industry.

The Secret to Success in the Music Industry:

Through his new book 'The Secret to Success in the Music Industry'  Chris shares his knowledge and experience for the benefit of aspiring singers. It offers a unique insight into all areas of the music industry, provides fundamental advice, and addresses the many hurdles singers encounter when trying to make it in the industry.  Offering expert advice for all singing levels, from beginners right through to advanced singers.

Background:

Chris began his career as a music promoter, organising tours and events for some of the UK’s most recognised dance acts including Carl Cox, Andy C, Judge Jules, Spoony, Fabio and Grooverider. He has promoted sell-out events at Wembley Arena, and The O2 in London for acts including; Zane Lowe, Tinchy Stryder, Kids in Glass Houses, The Hoosiers, and Funeral for a Friend.

He moved on to developing his own record label Hectic Records which rapidly evolved into four labels. Hectic Records quickly became known as one of the biggest independant labels in the country, boasting in excess of 100 singles, over a million sales across the group and releasing over ten compilations and albums.

Over the last ten years as Managing Director for Future Music, a freelance music consultant, plus A&R scout for Sony Music and Thames Television, Chris wanted to find new ways to reach out in an accessible way to the thousands of unsigned artists within the UK. He therefore devised national music competitions Live and Unsigned, Open Mic UK, and TeenStar in order to discover all the new up coming, under the radar talent.

Through his constant enthusiam and positive approach Chris has seen over 75,000 acts through these music competitions, and has been able to share his own intuitive advice to many of the aspiring passionate artists.

The new book is an insightful read into the many aspects singers first encounter when they embark on entering the music industry, and provides fundamental information to point singers in the right direction on how to make it in the industry. The book simply makes singing, simple to succeed!

'The Secret to Success in the Music Industry' gives aspiring singers helpful advice and industry tips simplifying the necessities to make it in the Music Industry.
