Brighton-based producer duo My Digital Enemy had their most successful year to date in 2014 and with multiple Beatport chart-toppers and tour dates all over the world already under their belt, the duo are set to kick off 2015 with new EP ‘Back To The Underground Vol. 1’. Set for release via their own imprint Zulu Records on February 2nd and consisting of two original new tracks – ‘Jack My Body’ which has already received early support from Annie Mac and ‘Say It’. The EP feeds into their reputation as one of the UK’s most promising breakthrough house acts.
Receiving early support from BBC Radio 1 tastemaker Annie Mac, premiering ‘Jack My Body’ on 16/01. She said “In our first played section this is new from My Digital Enemy. An incredibly strong release. It is called ‘Jack My Body’”
‘Jack My Body’ carries a solid groove, combining punchy bass licks with looped vocal samples and swirling, synth-led breakdowns, whilst old school & garage influenced ’Say It’ pursues a far darker, moodier aesthetic – warped, rumbling bass and rugged percussive loops set the tone for a track sure to make a real impact on the floor. Bold and deceptively versatile, these are two tracks that demonstrate just how their production remit stretches, whilst simultaneously nodding to the duo’s impressive grasp of how to translate their ideas to the club.
Seeing out 2014 as the third top selling house artists on Beatport, releasing a series of powerful records across key labels like Size records’ sister label, X, iconic stable Toolroom and the duo’s burgeoning Zulu Records imprint, My Digital Enemy look set to push on and scale new heights in 2015.
