My Friend Dario ‘Cosmic Sailing Remix EP’

After the success of My Friend Dario’s ‘Cosmic Sailing’ release on NuNorthern Soul last year, label boss Phil Cooper has invited some friends-of-the-family to put their own stamp on the Sicilian producer’s divine body of work. ‘Cosmic Sailing Remixed’ is a four track set of sublime reworks that transport Dario’s beautifully crafted pieces to a whole new musical spectrum. Crazy P’s Hot Toddy delivers a stunning Balearic Disco revision of ‘Neve Su Acireale’, Detroit’s Blair French mesmerises with a colourful sun-kissed rendition of ‘Malvisa’, teased with bubbling electronica and percussive beats. Willie Graff (Music For Dreams / Hell Yeah Recordings) offers a happy Latin flavoured dubby re-work of ‘Fenice’, where organic drums dance around hypnotic guitar melodies. And closing out this magical EP is Balearic synth-pop specialist James Bright’s blissed-out, synth heavy emotive revision of ’Storm’.
