Mak & Pasteman - My MPC EP

Mak & Pasteman join the roster of Shadow Child’s Food Music this March with their ‘My MPC’ EP, a three-track collection from the UK duo.

Mak & Pasteman have steadily carved out a name for themselves over the past four years via their monthly Rinse FM show in the UK and releases on the likes of Redlight’s Lobster Boy, Shy FX’s Digital Soundboy, Breach’s Naked Naked and DJ Haus’ Unknown To The Unknown amongst others. With recent remixes for Maya Jane Coles and Shadow Child, as well as their debut EP on DFTD all garnering high profile club and radio support, this is one talented duo that's on the up.

Here we see the pair marking their debut release for Shadow Child’s Food Music and in typical fashion from the duo we’re treated to high octane rave inspired material from the distorted rhythms, choppy stabs and hip house tinged spoken vocals of title-cut ‘My MPC’ to the breaksy, bass drive feel of ‘Tijuana’ while ‘Velvit’ closes the package on a deeper tip, focusing on airy dub chords, bumpy drums and hooky diva style vocals chants.

Mak & Pasteman’s ‘My MPC’ EP is out on Food Music Music 9th (Beatport) 23rd (General) March 2018.
