Dakar - Myself EP

Taking the reigns for the next release on the esteemed label Yoshitoshi, is the Brazilian native Dakar with his ‘Myself’ EP. Having already released on labels such as Dirtybird and Snatch, Dakar wasted no time when it  came to dishing out this trio of bangers, one of those falling into the hands of ‘Sacha Robottti’ who provides his remix duties for the title track ‘Myself’.

First up on the EP is ‘Myself’, a punchy tech house cut which will certainly leave the dance floor a wash with groove. The heavy kicks coupled with lashings of white noise and catchy vocals work together in a perfect combination to ensure this track is a fundamental amongst DJ Sets. Dakar’s next track ‘Dynamite’ is exactly how it sounds, rolling bass lines coupled with the long breakdown reflective of a burning fuse, guiding you through one minute of suspenseful territory where it explodes into a nicely balanced floor filler!

Finishing off the EP is none other than Sacha Robotti. He digs his claws deep into the title track ‘Myself’ and gives us a darker twist on the record. Bumbling drums over swollen bass make this one for the peak times. Another great release from Yoshitoshi.

Myself EP is out on the 14th April! Pre-Order it here: https://www.beatport.com/release/myself-ep/1981551
