Need2Soul & Boom! present François K & friends

Need2Soul is joining forces with Boom! to deliver another unforgettable party in the capital, this time at one of London’s freshest venues, The Qube Project. Uniting a fantasy line-up of transatlantic proportions, the night will be led by none other than NYC don François K. One of the most influential DJ/producers/engineers alive today, François Kevorkian moved to New York from his native France in 1975 at the dawn of the NY dance scene and has helped shape its history ever since. From his own disco edits and zeitgeist defining work with Prelude Records to his sets at seminal clubs such as Studio 54, The Loft and Paradise Garage, François is a true pioneer of his craft. Founding in 1996 the legendary (and on-going) Sunday party Body & Soul with Danny Krivit & Joe Claussell and currently running his weekly club residency Deep Space in New York, the passion has clearly never died. This March, François will be taking over the main room of The Qube Project, playing a rare set in London alongside two of the UK’s soulful house originators Phil Asher of Restless Soul and Ricky Morrison of M&S.
 
Need2Soul has been throwing parties in London since 2004, playing host to deep house masters, such as Ron Trent, Glenn Underground, Moodymann, Theo Parrish and of course, the Body & Soul trio. After inviting Danny Krivit to rock down the house in Brixton this February, and now François K taking over The Qube Project, Need2Soul is really heating up for 2015 with a whole host of parties planned across bank holidays and later in the year, each helmed by a true great and attracting a most beautiful crowd of like-minded dancers.
 
Boom! is just starting out but is rooted in ideologies born during some of the most fertile moments in club culture and dance music evolution. Delivering house music, flecked with flavours of disco, soul, garage, Philly and even touching on early hip-hop & rap, a night on the dance floor at Boom! is a voyage through the last four decades of electronic music.  Whether it’s New York or Chicago’s early dance music scenes or the latest hot talent up on the decks, the artists involved all have an innate understanding of what a true party and its musical dogma should be. Brought to you by the heads behind seminal NY club Paradise Garage’s recent outing to The Ministry of Sound London – A Night in Paradise, musical direction comes from UK DJ/Producer Ricky Morrison.
